A fantastic, professional service from Amir and the team. I was very impressed with the results as my wedding dress has lots of intricate lace… the dress is now like new. Amir talked me through the dry cleaning process with a real understanding of the importance and sentimental value of a wedding dress. Good value too! Would highly recommend.

Thank you so much! I took my wedding dress to be cleaned and boxed following a personal recommendation. We married in June 2012 at the start of the watery mess that was the summer and our wedding day was a little soggy to say the least. As a consequence my dress was pretty filthy by the end of the day and I promtly zipped it into it’s carrying case and jetted off on honeymoon.
A whole year passed before I got round to looking at the dress again and by then it looked like the dirt would be a permanent fixture. I took it to Village Dry Cleaners and was told that as such a long time had passed since the dress was worn it might be difficult to get it looking like new again.
Within a couple of weeks I got the call to come and view my dress. It was as if it was a brand new dress. Absolutely spotless. It was boxed with great care and attention and presented in a beautiful storage box for me to keep forever. I highly recommend Village Dry Cleaners if you want someone to take good care of the most special dress you’ll ever wear. Worth every penny.

I have been using Village Dry Cleaners for about 3 years now for all my dry cleaning needs. The quality and service are always excellent, and this has included an emergency 6hr turnaround on a bespoke dinner suit which had been subject to a milk spillage (courtesy of a careless waiter!). They are always honest about whether damage / stains to items can be fixed / removed, and the service is excellent value for money.

I would highly recommend the dry cleaners here. I have taken items to other dry cleaners and they have still come back dirty. I took my wedding dress here and my wedding shoes and both came out perfectly better than brand new! Amazing. They really are experts in their field and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

After a £19 quote from a chain to have my duffel coat
cleaned (including lint removal), I decided to look locally.
Village dry cleaners were so friendly and helpful. I am ashamed to say that my
coat was pretty messy but it has come back like new and with no lint for nearly
half the price that I was quoted from the chain store.
I cannot recommend them highly enough, I am now going to dig out all my unused coats
for a refresh.
Excellent service and results at a very reasonable price. If you are local to
the area (or even if you’re not) a don’t consider going anywhere else than
here.

Just picked up my wedding dress from this shop and I’m thrilled by the service. Amir has been so helpful throughout the whole process and I have had 100% confidence in his ability to look after my beautiful dress. At first I was very nervous as my dress is very very delicate lace (Black Lace Maiden from Suzanne Neville). Amir was honest and upfront with me that the lace was very delicate and so would try his best to remove all staines without damaging the lace. He did a great job and now my dress is packed away in a beautiful purple box. Thank you once again I would (and will) recommend you to everyone.

Amir and his team did a wonderful job of cleaning a cream silk evening gown for me. I’d been to several dry cleaners with the dress and as it had crystals on it, no-one would touch it, saying that I would need a specialist cleaner.
Having read the reviews of The Village Dry Cleaners on Qype I called Amir and he was confident that cleaning the dress wouldn’t be an issue.
It’s now cleaned and looks like new and it cost me a lot less than I anticipated paying for the service.
Highly recommended.

What an amazing job on my wedding dress and a really personal service!!!!
When i took my wedding dress in it was personally assessed by Amir who told me exactly what results I could expect from the dry cleaning service. He pointed out all the little areas where the dirt was really worn in and also where I had lost a few beads when dancing.
When I went to collect the dress Amir got it out to show me the results. They were much better than I anticipated in fact you can hardly tell the dress has been worn! I am delighted with the results and would recommend the wedding dress service at Village Dry Cleaners to everyone.

I need to say a BIG THANK YOU to Amir and his team at the Village Dry Cleaners for a brilliant job of cleaning my wedding and bridesmaid dress.
I travelled from Preston in Chorlton, due to fantastic reviews I had heard.
I got married back in May 2011 and didn’t hand in my dress until September! I was apprehensive as to whether all the stains (little hand prints, dust and dirt, make-up and high heel stains) would come out after so long, but Amir did a fantastic job at getting all the stains removed and my dress looks like new!!! and it was ready in less than a week!!
My dress also had beading on the bodice of the dress and although Amir warned me that some may come off during the cleaning, nothing did.
I am now going to sell my dress after seeing the result!
I also handed in my bridesmaid dress, who had a greasy hand print on the front, this also came off and my bridemaid is planning to wear it again for a charity ball.
If you are looking for a specialist dry cleaners for your wedding dress I would recommend nobody else to provide a fantastic result. They have specialist knowledge and put your mind at rest that your dress are in good hands.

I got married a few weeks ago in York, the weather was ‘changeable’ and there were puddles of mud everywhere which meant that by the end of the day, the bottom of my dress was covered in mud and by the end of a hard night of dancing, the mud was truly ingrained in to the fabric.
I took it to village dry cleaners on the recommendation of my sister who had heard that they specialised in getting stains out of wedding dresses. In just over a week, I picked my dress up and couldn’t believe how clean it was, the front and back were just as they were when I picked it up from the bridal shop. I was amazed.
Excellent service and an excellent result
I got married in July over in Italy and after a very long and hot day my wedding dress was in a bit of a mess.
On returning to Manchester I found Village Dry Cleaners in Chorlton. I hadn’t realised how difficult it is and how specialist you have to be when it comes to cleaning wedding dresses.
After researching I realised Village Dry Cleaners were the best in the field, that people travel from all over for their help and the fact they’ve been there 30 years and over the years they have many returning customers.
I dropped my dress in and met Amir and his Dad – they were polite, interesting and very knowledgable regarding the cleaning of my dress. I even learnt they clean the matching bag, veil and my shoes and box it so you can store the dress safely.
I collected all the items a week later and they were like new – the box was also beautiful.
If you’re getting married or have just got married remember this place, I’ll never use another dry cleaners again.

First time it was when I’ve bought my wedding dress on sale and needed to get it clean for my big day. I was a very nervous about it, as i didnt know how my dress will looked like after the cleaning.
But Amir was very profesional and expalined everything in detail. Also when he finished cleaning my dress he sent me a txt to say that everything went well and the dress looks like brand new. I was so relived and happy!!!

I recently decided to take my wedding dress to The Village Dry cleaners after a search of the internet and I can honestly say this is the best decision I have ever made!! Having found the website and reading some of the reviews about other girls experiences with their wedding dresses I knew that this was the place I needed to bring my dress to stand a chance of the stains coming out, even though I live a considerable distance away!
With a heavy heart I phoned The Village Dry Cleaners and arranged an appointment to see Amir with my dress, unsure whether cleaning would even be possible with the extent of stains that were on my dress and the fact that they had sat on the dress for over a year. The corset was full of stains from fake tan both inside and out,. over the beautiful detailing on the dress and around the neckline where beading was.
Along the bottom of the skirt there were numerous stains where the skirt had been stood on and lots of mud and grass stains on the train.
Upon my arrival Amir was very professional and friendly and he explained in detail what he would try and do with my dress and the difficulties he would encounter due to the length of time the stains had remained on the dress. I left the shop feeling quite pessimistic about whether my dress could be cleaned but was certain I had left it in safe hands with Amir who would try his best to achieve the best possible results.
Only a matter of a few hours later my fears were calmed when I received a message from Amir telling me that he had worked none stop on my dress from me leaving the shop and it was like new!!! I was sooooo excited I never thought Amir could get my dress so clean and definitely not in such a short space of time. I was so relieved even though Amir had promised he would try to get my dress looking good as new I thought maybe 80-90% could be the best I could hope for.
Today I went and picked up my dress and it is absolutely perfect – as good as new without the hint of a single mark on it! And nothing to suggest that my dress has ever even been worn let alone stained and left so long.
Thankyou Amir and the rest of your team for such a fantastic service and for working so hard to achieve the best results possible! My dress is magnificent – just like when it was brand new. I would highly recommend The village Dry Cleaners to anyone needing their wedding dress cleaning!

I have just picked up my (as yet unworn) wedding dress which I bought second hand to cut down on costs. The dress had a large red stain on and mud stains etc from the previous owner, and I was very worried they would not come out.
Well, what can I say? Amir and his team are AMAZING!!! The dress looks new! I am so, so happy and cannot recommend The Village Dry Cleaners highly enough, especially for the cleaning of wedding dresses, which really need specialist cleaning. The staff are friendly and Amir really knows his stuff, very informative about different materials etc.
I now cannot wait to wear my special dress and it now feels like “mine”.

I run a vintage inspired bridal boutique in the heart of West Didsbury. As we stock high-end dresses with sometimes challenging silks and fabrics to clean, we’re always amazed at how Amir manages to spruce up our dresses.
I recommend his services to all our brides. He’s truly excellent at what he does and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fabric – the best dry cleaners in the north, without a doubt!

I have been using Village Dry Cleaners for around 10 years now. I work on the production side of live music events in Manchester, and always take the artists ‘show clothes’ which required dry cleaning to Village Dry Cleaners. Amir and his staff are always friendly, they have a vast knowledge of their industry and always go that extra mile to help.
Whether it s suits or delicate intricate costumes that I have to take, I have great confidence in Amir and his staff to clean the items without damaging them, and would recommend them to everybody I know.

After a long hard search for a good wedding dress dry cleaners this dry cleaners was recommended to me by fairytale brides, the shop where I bought my wedding dress.
The problem was that my Ian Stuart Florentina wedding dress needed some detailing removed prior to dry cleaning and no dry cleaners were prepared to take on the work as well as the cleaning.
The Village dry cleaners in Chorlton came to my rescue. Now when I say my dress was filthy, I mean it was filthy. The hem of the dress was covered in all sorts of dirt. The photographer had me photographed in many different locations after our wedding – the most unusual being an abandoned beach so you can imagine the amount of staining the dress had on it. I even managed to get a few drops of blood on my dress after my auntie cut her finger following an accident during the throwing of the bouquet.
Amir, who was brilliant by the way, explained the process thoroughly to us when we dropped the dress off and was careful not to get my hopes up too much by saying he would try his best but he wasn’t sure of getting all the stains out. He needn’t have worried, he managed to get every single stain out of the dress… even the blood spots and I would confidently say, the dress is as good as new.
He even went to the extra effort of getting me non standard ribbon for my storage box. I wanted Cadburys purple coloured ribbon to match my wedding theme but the box company did not supply it. Amir told us he would arrange it for us and he came up with the goods again.

COMMENT ADDED 07/01/11 – I want to add that I’ve just had several high-end designer vintage garments cleaned by Amir at Village Dry Cleaners (January 2011). He has done the most incredible job. I am so delighted. All I can say is that he can work miracles PROVIDING you have realistic expectations.
Amir takes a great deal of time explaining (beforehand) what he can and can’t do. It all depends on the quality of the fabric in the first place. If your garment is made from high-quality fabric and has been treated well, there should be no problems. If however, you have tried washing a garment yourself and experienced problems, you shouldn’t expect Village Dry Cleaners to resolve your mistake.
It’s important to store clothing properly and hang it on the correct type of hanger. If you’ve worn something and it’s stained, get it cleaned as soon as possible. Marks left on clothing just won’t come out no matter what you do. Just be realistic and listen to what advice Amir gives. He knows what he’s talking about.

Thank you Amir! My dress looks like new again and has been beautifully preserved in a lovely box.
I’m so pleased with not only how well my dress has been cleaned, but also the level of service at the Village Dry Cleaners. Amir and team really understood how important my wedding dress is to me and took the time to explain how it would be cleaned. I was particularly upset about some sticky tar-like stains that covered my dress (having previously got my dress “cleaned” by a bridal dress shop, I was told that there was nothing that could be done to remove the stains and my dress was ruined). Amir could see how upset I was and went to the effort of removing some of the tar while I was in the shop. I left knowing that my dress could be saved and was in safe hands. A few days later I picked up my dress and Amir carefully packed it away in a beatiful box expecially made for preserving wedding dresses.
I stumbled across Village Cleaners from an internet search, and I’m so glad I found it! Thank you so much! I highly recommend Village Dry Cleaners to others. I really can’t praise them enough!

Just wanted to say how impressed we are with Amir and everyone at Village Dry Cleaners every time we use them.
We first visited to get a 10 year old wedding dress which belonged to my (now) wife’s aunt cleaned before our wedding. We were very anxious that the dress would be in good hands and well cared for. Amir talked us through every aspect of the process and his experience shined through. When we picked it up prior to the wedding, the dress looked brand-new. An incredible job really breathed life into the dress and really meant a lot to my wife.
After the wedding, we had the dress re-cleaned and again, the results were fantastic – and the dress was beautifully packed and presented in a decorative box, ready to be returned to our relative.
We have since used Village for many other items and the service has always been the same – quick, reliable, friendly and good value. As a previous reviewer mentioned, your mind is instantly put at ease when you see the clean and contemporary decor, which imparts a professional attitude.
I don’t normally leave reviews, but I really think such a quality and approachable local business deserves a bit of praise.

I was very worried about handing my wedding dress over to a dry cleaners incase anything went wrong and it was damaged. Thankfully I found Village Dry Cleaners! From taking my dress in and meeting Amir it was clear he knew exactly how to care for bridal gowns and the results that could be achieved.
Within less than a week it was returned to me and WOW the results were amazing. My dress looked as if it had never been worn, all traces of dirt had been removed even from the intricate lace overlay.
I would have no hesitation in recommending you to other ladies looking to have their dresses professionally cleaned.

Got married in Rhodes a few weeks ago and had to get my wedding dress cleaned for the reception party a week later. The Village Dry Cleaners was recommended to me by Nancy Jane Bridal (also fabulous!!) and I was so glad I listened. The service was incredible, fast, efficient, friendly and great value for money.
Will not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will definately be back!

I found Village Dry Cleaners on the web doing a google search for wedding dress dry cleaners, not knowing really where to start. It was interesting to see the difference between the other dry cleaners advertising simply ‘Dry clean your Wedding Dress’ and this site that went into so much detail.
In fairness the detail won me over, and I made a special trip to get a quote(I live quite a distance away), but it was well worth the trip.
Amir, who takes care of the wedding dresses, is completely passionate about what he does. He explains all the options, potential problems and solutions (in my case I had been married 4 months earlier and there was a coating of a clay like substance across the bottom of the dress from the ground where we had the wedding. I had no idea that ‘the sooner the better’ was important when cleaning dresses as the stain works its way in over time). He fully warned me of the risks, and explained what process he would follow (there are several options, depending on material type etc), and that he would re-do the process as many times as necessary until no more improvements could be made.
Until I handed over my dress, which was hand made from my own design, I hadn’t realised just how anxious I would feel. Having been guided through everything though, I was 100% trusting of Amir and let him get to work.
I couldn’t have been happier with the results. The dress is as good as new to me and having paid for the extra packaging, it’s now also beautifully preserved in a gorgeous box.
I cannot recommend this shop and Amir enough. Informative and transparent in their processes, they are friendly and passionate in all they do. Even watching them serve Customers for normal dry cleaning put them a world ahead of my own local cleaner. Such a shame I don’t live close by.

Wow… I can honestly say I am very impressed with the excellent service that I have received at the Village Dry Cleaners. From the minute I walked in there Amir was very friendly and customer focused so much so I ended up being there for almost an hour (Thanks Amir for putting up with me:) ).
As most girls I wanted to look my best going to a wedding, but the very next day when I looked at the dress I had tears in my eyes as it had been stained from Spray Tan. As the dress was so delicate with beads glued on it I was panicking and worried that even cleaning with the gentlest cleaning methods the dress will be ruined. Straight away I did a search on Google to try and find the best dry cleaners in the Manchester area, as you can imagine it brought me up many to choose from including Village Dry Cleaners. It took me a while to decide which one to pick but I decided to give it a go with you …. And how right was I 🙂
After an hour long detailed discussion on how my dress will get cleaned etc I finally agreed to take a risk and leave the dress in Amir’s hands. Amir promised to contact me as soon as the dress had been cleaned giving me an estimate earliest date of 2 days after I had dropped it off, but to my surprise I didn’t need to have even one sleepless night as I received a text after 30 mins of leaving the store to let me know that the dress is cleaned and most importantly with no damages to it….

Wanted to say a big thank you for dry cleaning 2 of my Ian Stuart wedding dresses, we had just done the Trafford Centre wedding show and the dresses get full of make up, fake tans dust from the catwalk etc.etc. you understood I could’t manage without the dresses for long and had them back in the shop in no time at all.
We will definately recommend you to all our brides and be using your services again after our shows.

For many years now I have been searching around Manchester for a competent dry cleaner and have had to put up with mediocre results from even bluechip franchises.
Common problems I have had to endure, include poor ironing standards for example getting my clothes back with either double creases or “wonky” creases. The standard of cleaning also has never been anything special.
…Until now. I discovered Village Dry Cleaners through BView and decided to try them out. I have been pleasantly surprised. The owner of the business takes great pride in his business and goes to great lengths to ensure his customers are kept satisfied. He was patient with my detailed prescription of how I wanted my clothes. I always stress how my ironing has gone wrong in the past and explicitly explain what I want and what don’t want. My trousers came back the best I’d ever seen them. The standard of the cleaning was also, I feel, noticeably better. Normally you can’t even tell whether your clothes have even been put throught the machines but here, they were almost glowing.
I also had a pocket restitched on one of my suits and it was done well.
I’ve had a number of suits cleaned with them and they have always been of a good standard.
Even from outward appearances, the shop will inspire confidence. A lot of money has been spent on a very smart construction which clearly shows this is a business which intends to continue. The proprietor quite clearly takes great pride in his business and has desrvedly been around since 1983.
Much better than Johnsons on Stockport Road whom I had been using for years, previously.

I use the village dry cleaners because it was recommended to me by a friend. The service is brilliant, it’s nice to see the same face each time you go in (Amir). I live in Hazel Grove but it’s worth the drive over to know that my clothes will be returned to me in perfect condition – they even open late one night during the week so you can go after work if weekends aren’t convenient, or they have a delivery service, if required.
I also had my wedding dress cleaned here and my husband’s suit after our wedding abroad, we only had a couple of days to get them cleaned before our wedding reception back here, I had no worries of it not being back in time and in perfect condition, Amir was very knowledgeable about the best way of cleaning the different fabrics, and it’s nice to know they are cleaned on the premises and not sent away to be cleaned.
I would always recommend and use the village dry cleaners for years to come.

I got married in Italy 3 weeks ago and I had a second wedding party here in England last Sunday so I needed my dressing gown to be dry cleaned for the second wedding party. The long train of the dress was filthy and I also had a few stains on the front. I thought it would never come as beautiful as it was. I was also struggling to find a dry cleaner that would do it in about a week time, but I found village dry cleaner on the internet and I called them. The dress was dry cleaned in about 3 days and it was perfect as I had never worn it before. The train was perfectly cleaned and all stains were gone. Amir (the owner) is really a wedding professional dry cleaner and he takes good care of his customers. Although I live in Dukinfield, about 20 minutes away from the place, I will never change this place for anything else. His service is excellent and it’s a lot cheaper than anyother high street dry cleaners.
